What the app stores
We store your account name and email, authentication information, profile, games, participation, attendance, scores, announcements, reports, support requests, and operational audit records to run the service.
Who can see it
Public game details are discoverable. Participant names are shown to hosts and game members; hosts can manage their players. Private games require a current invitation or active membership. Anyone receiving an invitation can forward it. Operators can review reports and support requests.
Service providers and browser storage
The service uses Railway hosting and PostgreSQL. Google sign-in and Google venue search are used when configured; email delivery uses Resend when enabled. These providers process information needed for those services. The browser stores your session, chosen browsing location, and account-specific hosting drafts. Venue search and interactive maps make requests to Google.
Optional nearby venues
Use my location asks for browser permission. PickleHuddle uses the reported coordinates in the current page to estimate straight-line distances; it does not save those coordinates to your account, database or browser storage. Opening the interactive map contacts Google, and the map view can reflect your location. You can browse a chosen country and city without granting device-location access. Google map services are covered by Google’s privacy policy.
Optional usage measurement
If you allow measurement through Privacy choices, we count visits and game-flow events by broad traffic source and page category. We do not send analytics to an advertising provider or store names, email addresses, game IDs, invitation links or full referrer URLs in these counts. Consent is saved in this browser; session storage groups events during a tab session. You can withdraw consent using Privacy choices. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Anonymous aggregate counts are retained for 90 days. Hosting access logs and temporary abuse-prevention records are separate operational data.
Profile photos
Custom profile photos are visible to signed-in players. Camera access is optional and starts only when you choose to take a photo. We store a resized photo and remove embedded metadata, including location data. You can replace or remove your photo from Profile. Deleting your account removes its photo; backup copies follow backup retention.
Your choices
You can change game-email preferences, download your account data, and delete your account from Profile. You must first cancel or finish hosted games. Account deletion removes your login and profile and anonymizes historical game records; other participants retain non-identifying match history. Copies in backups may remain until backup retention expires. Contact support for questions about content or retained records.
Friends and player discovery
Player search is off until you enable discovery in Friends → Privacy & blocking. Signed-in players can then see your name, photo, username, home city, skill and bio. Your email address and friends list are not exposed by player search or player profiles. Sending or accepting a friend request also makes your player profile visible to the other player.
Upcoming-game activity is hidden by default. You can share upcoming public games with accepted friends; private and unlisted games never appear in this profile activity. A direct game invitation from a host grants only the invited account access, while the friendship and invitation remain valid. It does not reserve a place.
We store friend requests, friendships, invitations, privacy settings, blocks and reports to provide these features. Social requests, acceptances and invitations create in-app notifications. Blocking removes the friendship, hides your player profiles from each other and revokes outstanding invitations. It does not remove existing game registrations or conceal information already visible in a shared game. Player reports are available to operators for review. Your account export includes your social data; deleting your account removes social connections and anonymizes reports you submitted.
Retention
Account and game records remain while needed to operate your games and account. Operational delivery and audit records support troubleshooting and moderation. The operator must provide the applicable backup retention period and any additional retention requirements before broad launch.
