Joining your first pickleball game
Find a suitable session, confirm your player place and know what to check before arriving for your first PickleHuddle game.
Find the right session, join before registration closes, and check that your place is confirmed before heading to the court.
1. Find a session that fits
Open Discover and use the location selector to choose the country and city where you want to play. Your browsing location can be different from where you are right now. If nothing appears, try fewer filters or a nearby area.
Open a game and read its skill level, description, venue and court access. “Beginner friendly” is a useful starting point for a first session. Ask the host beforehand if you need instruction or a loan paddle; neither is guaranteed by the label.
2. Check the time and court arrangements
Use the venue-local date and time when planning your arrival. If your own time zone differs, the game page also shows your time. This matters when you book a Philippine session while visiting Australia, especially around midnight.
“Reserved by host” records the host’s stated arrangement. PickleHuddle does not book or independently verify the court. Confirm the address, meeting point and any shared court fees with the host. Free entry to a game does not mean the venue is free.
3. Join and check your player status
Sign in, then choose “Join this game” while registration is open. When a session is full, use “Join waitlist” instead. A waitlist entry is not a confirmed player place.
If a place is offered, look for “Accept your place” on the game page and accept before the displayed deadline. Offers also appear in your inbox. After joining or accepting, check for “You’re on the player list.” Registration closes once the scheduled start has passed or the session is no longer scheduled.
4. Arrive, check in and follow the queue
Bring water and the equipment agreed with your host. Before leaving, reopen the game to check for updates or cancellation. If plans change, use “Leave this game” early so another player can take the place.
Joining and checking in are separate steps. Regular player check-in opens two hours before the start; use “Check in on arrival” when you reach the venue. Open “Live court” to follow the queue and the host’s instructions. Taking a break? Use the break control rather than remaining ready while you are away.
This guide explains PickleHuddle’s current player and host tools. Session arrangements are set by the host.
